	The If the Shoe Fits Issue is all about shoes. Big honking shiny gay-boy shoes that Ross wore to school, garnering the attention of everyone including me and Mary-E. Suddenly we found ourselves asking, "Is our best friend doing the flaming walk of man-love? Could he possibly be gay, and we didn't even know?"

	But when we actually looked back over our childhood and made a list of all Ross's Halloween costumes and toys of choice, it became pretty apparent that Mary-E and I had been in serious denial about our hula-skirt-wearing pal.

But Ross has always been Ross, our best friend, so we whined a lot to each other because we didn't want anything to change between us. I mean, what if this made things awkward or what if he dumped us for new gay friends? Who would critique our wardrobes? Who would eat cookie dough with us and cry on lonely Friday nights?


	But after we took a minute to walk around in his shoes, we felt how uncomfortable they were and what a hard thing he did trying to come out to us. So we stepped out with him. If he could take a risk like that, then so could we. And that's the story of the If the Shoe Fits Issue.
